Welcome to Huong Le O.T. -
Huong joins Fremont Therapy & Wellness officially as a full time therapist in March 2020. She will be functioning as a staff Occupational Therapist with a focus on injuries and post-surgical patients with hand, wrist and elbow injuries. Huong grew up in Omaha, NE attending Ralston High School where she was active in dance team, tennis, show choir, and band. She attended Creighton University in Omaha and graduated with a Bachelor's in Environmental Science and Minor in Biology. After Creighton, she attended College of Saint Mary (CSM) in Omaha where she completed her undergraduate and graduate studies. She earned a Bachelor's in Rehabilitation Science and Minor in Special Education, and then graduated with a Master's in Occupational Therapy in 2019. While attending CSM, she was a member of the select women's choir ensemble, CSM Singers. The choir auditioned and was selected to sing the National Anthem at Game 9 during the 2016 College World Series.
Both of Huong’s 12-week clinical rotations reinforced her passion to pursue an OT career that focused on orthopedics. She had the opportunity to complete her first clinical rotation at the hand therapy clinic at OrthoNebraska followed by a rotation on the orthopedic trauma unit at CHI Health CUMC Bergan Mercy. Since graduation, she has been working in both inpatient and outpatient orthopedic settings and is certified in Physical Agent Modalities. Her goal is to specialize in hand therapy and become credentialed as a Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) in the future. Huong enjoys playing tennis, traveling, and spending time with her family, friends, and her dog, Dennis (Maltese). After traveling to Peru in 2017 and seeing the ancient Incan city of Machu Picchu, she has made it her lifelong goal to explore the other wonders of the world.
