Pelvic Floor Biofeedback

Pelvic Rehabilitation and Incontinence training can be conducted by either a physical therapist or occupational therapist with additional specialized training in this area. Occupational Therapists have increased background in dressing, bathing, and toileting issues in their primary education and have begun to specialize more into the pelvic training and education area for patients over the past few years.

At Fremont Therapy & Wellness, our Pelvic Floor Rehabilitation program is led by Ashley Sass OTR/L . and is a unique and important part of our clinical services. It provides patients with the tools and skills necessary to regain control. Pelvic floor rehabilitation is a systematic approach to improving strength and function of the muscles which support the bladder, urethra and other organs within the pelvis.

In addition, Fremont Therapy & Wellness has developed a specialized, separate treatment area where pelvic rehab therapists can privately treat and specialize in pelvic floor therapy, including treatment of urinary and fecal incontinence, pelvic and abdominal pain, constipation, urinary dysfunction, and pain during and after pregnancy. Treatment intervention of pelvic floor muscle dysfunction is noninvasive, specialized for each individual patient, and uses visual Biofeedback therapy technology for best results.
